Summary

This grant initiative supports licensed nonprofit child care providers, aiming to strengthen the early childhood sector. Eligible organizations—such as centers focused on serving infants and preschoolers—can apply for awards up to $15,000. These funds are intended to bolster the child care workforce, support ongoing staff training, improve organizational operations, and nurture family engagement in culturally responsive ways. They’re also designed to encourage leadership and equity-focused efforts that address local needs.


The goal of this funding is twofold: expand access to affordable, high‑quality child care for families and reinforce the sustainability and resilience of local childcare providers. 

Applications are accepted through a set period in June, exclusively from licensed nonprofit providers. The awards are intended to support a variety of uses, such as professional development, program improvements, family outreach, or infrastructure upgrades that align with inclusive and responsive care practices. 


Applicants could include licensed nonprofit child care providers serving infants and young children. Use of funds examples are workforce training and skill-building, strengthening business practices, enhancing family engagement and inclusion, and leadership initiatives focused on equity and strategy. 


These grants are to build a stronger, more affordable, and equitable child care ecosystem that benefits both providers and families.
